The scene in S3 E1 where Daryl helps Carol’s shoulder and she then stars to make teasing sexual remarks and he tells her to stop. I get where some people see a semi-romantic scene but it reminded me too much of how my friends often tease me. I get flustered easily and on a whole I don’t take sexual jokes well they throw me off and I get embarrassed and my reactions range from a childish “shut up” to just yelling complete nonsense cause I don’t know what to say. They know I hate it but just keep doing it because they find it funny that I freak out so much since I’m normally a very composed person. 

So I was actually kinda happy when Daryl was made uncomfortable by Carol cause it was a moment I could truly relate to. The fact that the character I related to was Daryl made it even better.

I’m not a big “Caryl” shipper, but I can’t help feeling that if Carol had longer hair that wasn’t grey and was of a considerably younger age, people would stop hating on her. And it’s sick but half the time I feel like they hate her because she’s the only female that has any connection to Daryl and she’s not your conventional beauty. So many young women love Daryl Dixon / Norman Reedus, and they want a female character they can self-insert so that they can essentially ‘fall in love’ with him. Why isn’t Carol good enough? At least she’d be canon.

As for people hating on her because “she didn’t do shit to save her daughter” do you not remember her trying to run after Sophia but Lori held her back? What’s more, she’s inexperienced with a weapon, and although it wasn’t said in the show, I’m sure they told her not to go looking for her on her own. She DID help search when they were with a group. Watch the episodes again. She seems to have lost hope for her daughter the moment she left her sight because she probably knew from the start her daughter was dead, but like most people in that sort of situation, you feel like if you don’t hope for the better you’re only jinxing it and practically wishing for the worst. 

Just tired of the constant hate towards this character. Try picking on someone else instead of someone who did nothing wrong except lose her daughter. And don’t give me that ‘she tried to turn Daryl on Rick’ bull crap — wouldn’t you second guess trusting a leader who killed a member of your group? They only had Rick’s word to go on, Shane wasn’t there to hear his side of the story. Rick could’ve said ANYTHING to make his actions justified. 

And ‘Carol left Andrea for dead’? ANDREA HAD A GUN. Carol was unarmed! What would you have done in that situation? I bet you would run for your life too.

Pretty much agree on this except the part about Rick killing Shane. She did try to get Daryl to turn on Rick and yes, they  only had Rick’s words but they had a lot of Daryl’s actions too. The mere fact that Daryl would say Rick had honor, had done alright by him and the mere fact that Daryl was still there should have been clue enough for Carol. 

Daryl doesn’t do bullshit. He can sniff it out quicker than anything and y’all saw it at Otis’ funeral when he gave Shane the “you are so full of shit” look. I get why Carol was upset, and I get all her emotions but I don’t agree w/ her trying to get him to turn on Rick. I DO still adore  her though, and don’t ship them as a couple either. IF they’re going to put her and Daryl together I pray god it’s believable (which the writers of this show rock, so…), but honestly I don’t know if I see Daryl with anyone. Keeping an open mind but the only ship I sail on is Rickyl. :D

I gotta agree with you. I liked Carol (not not so much the daryl/Carol thing but I didn’t mind it) until she started bitching about Rick and being all passive aggressive (at trait mind you that I cannot stand fiction or otherwise) If she stops whining and gets her shit together in the next season I could like her again but from what I’ve seen for comics I don’t think thats gonna happen.
