NO WE ARE NOT.
For a pawn shop, there is an unusual number of tea sets. An absurd amount of bells. He knows objectively that this kind of stock doesn’t sell quickly (or make much of a profit when it finally does), but he can’t seem to turn down any offer, whenever someone in town comes to sell him their old tea set.
The customers looking to buy, on the other hand, seem surprised by the amount on the little tags, and even more surprised that Gold won’t negotiate.
There’s something familiar about these items, something that keeps drawing him back for reasons he can’t explain. Without much else to do, he polishes them more often than necessary.

Something I just realized
Belle’s line “Promise me that we can be together.” From 2x01 takes a new spin with the information from 2x16. For its the exact opposite of what happened with Cora. It was his idea from the start, his request that was in the end was crushed by Cora. And here is Belle begging him the exact same thing, asking him to stay with her and push aside his thoughts of revenge for her for their happiness. How could he possibly say no then?
They were fucking okay, that clear enough for you? He didn’t kill anyone last night and Belle would happily draw you a picture if you’d like, just as long as you all go the fuck away.
