Season 1 Daryl also know as angry Daryl
This bitter earth / What fruit it bears
What good is love / That no one shares
And if my life is like the dust / That hides the glow of a rose
What good am I / Heaven only knows
I think it’s safe to say that whatever small amount of sanity The Governor had left is just gone now.
- I didn’t choose him over you!
- I did not realize the messiah complex was contagious. He sent Merle to kill me. Would have sent him to kill you, too, if you had come with me. But you didn’t, did you? You chose a warm bed over a friend.
The voice of reason and morality is a former convict.
Why just why do you sleep with the dangerous lunatics? It’s even worse than Shane at least you knew him for a good amount of time before he went to crazy town.
Really Andrea? You’ve know him for what a week tops. You had better be trying to seduce him to get information or so help me all my character hate for Lori will transfer to you for making this stupid decision.
The scene in S3 E1 where Daryl helps Carol’s shoulder and she then stars to make teasing sexual remarks and he tells her to stop. I get where some people see a semi-romantic scene but it reminded me too much of how my friends often tease me. I get flustered easily and on a whole I don’t take sexual jokes well they throw me off and I get embarrassed and my reactions range from a childish “shut up” to just yelling complete nonsense cause I don’t know what to say. They know I hate it but just keep doing it because they find it funny that I freak out so much since I’m normally a very composed person.
So I was actually kinda happy when Daryl was made uncomfortable by Carol cause it was a moment I could truly relate to. The fact that the character I related to was Daryl made it even better.
I call slut shaming in this case and I don’t like it.
In my case it’s more her personality and how she handles things than the fact she had an affair. When Rick comes back she is quick to anger with Shane when he tries to explain that he did really believe Rick was dead and that he tried to save him (all proven true by flashbacks) she doesn’t want to hear it and tries to pretend that nothing happened and tells him to stay away from her and Carl. When Shane tries to do what she wants she berates him again saying he shouldn’t take it out on the kid who looks up to him and asks him to stay. Shane whose mental stability at this point is questionable gets mixed signals from her erratic actions. Now had she had a mature calm discussion with Shane like he tried to have in the beginning this mess probably wouldn’t have happened but she didn’t instead of facing the fact that this thing with Shane was just as much her fault as his she pushed it off and didn’t want to deal with it. Then it takes a pregnancy to FINALLY admit to Rick that she slept with Shane. She had many opertunites to tell him what had happened but she chose to act like nothing happened at all.
She also highly hypocritical. When Beth goes through her little suicide arc Lori says that suicide is not an option and does want to listen to Andrea, someone who went through EXACTLY what Beth was going through. When a few episodes earlier she asked what the point was to living saying that Dr. Jenner and Jacky had it right in opting out. Then after Beth’s failed suicide when Maggie is mad at Andrea for letting it happen Lori says that in the end Andrea was right when before she all but said she was wrong. Then when Lori learns from Dale that Shane might have killed Otis she tells Rick that he might have to kill him to protect her and their family. But when he does it because he had no alternative and tells her what happened she freaks. I know that the director for the ep says that she was upset with herself because she realizes it was her fault (which it is) but the she acts is more like she is so disgusted with Rick that she can’t bare to touch him.
So that is my long explaination for not liking Lori shes judgmental (giving Carol a death glare when she looks at some clothes from a car on the highway she deems a “graveyard” and berating Andrea for choosing to fight and help the men thus dealing with her survior’s guilt over Amy and taking back her life), hypocritical, and doesn’t seem to ever take responsibility for her actions.
I love how Michonne doesn’t fuck about like the rest of the characters (with the exception of Daryl, of course). She gets things done. Exactly as it should be during a zombie apocalypse.
Also, I don’t understand why people are “shipping” Daryl and Michonne. HELLO, the only reasons they are…
Totally I can’t wait to rub Michonne in my Brothers face (he has a very low opinion of women in fiction). Honestly though Daryl and Michonne should just kick Zombie ass together not hook up and thats with anyone they are better on their own.
I could totally see the creators pulling dick move like killing Daryl and to add insult to injury it’d probably be to save Lori. (god i hate that bitch)
