This is what Regina really needs to learn. Hook is a pretty smart dude, for someone whose plots keep getting foiled.
Well you’ve got to remember: Hook thought he’d won. He thought Rumple was dead. Then he spent a few days in a closet and a U-Haul with nothing to do but think about stuff. The way he says “I’m sated” and this conversation here prove (to me) that he’s become painfully aware of his own emptiness. Maybe this is not the sort of epiphany he would have had before now, but he is definitely showing some promising character growth.

Don’t kill him. If you kill him, he won’t learn nuthin. Moral of the tale. He’s had 3 centuries of doing one thing, and the minute it was over, he’s actually had to realise that it’s all left him with nothing. Dust and ashes and memories. I have high hopes now :) Let’s see him get a life, a new crew, and be awesome.
Something I realized about Lacey that makes me hurt even more
Lacey probably reminds Rumple of Milah, and stirs up all sorts of memories he’d rather forget.
Writers who somehow managed to create an awesome character with so much potential yet refrain from giving them the proper storyline the character deserves.

Something I just realized
Belle’s line “Promise me that we can be together.” From 2x01 takes a new spin with the information from 2x16. For its the exact opposite of what happened with Cora. It was his idea from the start, his request that was in the end was crushed by Cora. And here is Belle begging him the exact same thing, asking him to stay with her and push aside his thoughts of revenge for her for their happiness. How could he possibly say no then?
Thoughts on Henry Sr.
I was excited to see what Regina’s beloved daddy was like young just as much as Cora. I really do like his character his isn’t the greatest dad but he tried and he stayed with his daughter no matter what. So when I saw the sneak peek I was like ‘yay maybe he’ll get some screen time’ But no we got more of his dad than him.
But you know what I did see in those scenes? I saw that he actually liked Cora the millers daughter. In the first one not only does he try to stand up for Cora after Eva trips her, he also never takes his eyes off her throughout the scene and he watches her as he leaves. Then in the ball room scene he enjoys talking with her, they have a nice and fun banter before his dad steps in and ruins it.
What I’m getting at here is that Henry liked Cora before she began her dark decent, he liked Cora the millers daughter not Cora the dark apprentice the same way Belle likes Rumple the man not Rumple the dark one. Had Cora not altered her deal had she not sought power Henry probably would have been her true love, had she only given him the chance.

New Theory for Lacey
Based on info from Paleyfest. Sorta spoilery.
So here’s what I’m thinking after Rumple’s no longer having dagger issues he takes Belle out of the hospital and brings her to his home to recover. As she slowly gets off the sedatives the Lacey persona begins to come out. It’s little things at first she gets more touchey feeley getting closure than she normally would. Then she starts making advances and Rumple has no clue what to do and pushes her away. At the rejections Lacey gets frustrated and goes out saying something like, “If you don’t want maybe I’ll find someone who does.” And that’s when she finds Keith. So my thoughts are that Rumple followed her to make sure she’s safe. Then like Keith pushes too far and Rumple comes to help her.
